•  If errors indicated, then it can be resolved at site
•  Flexibility to metric conversion
•  Reduced non productive time
•  operator activity is only to fix and remove workpiece

Disadvantages:

• high investment cost
• high maintainance cost
• operator skill required is high
• Planned support facility
• need attention during programming
